We rehearse Sunday afternoons 3:30 and Sunday mornings at 8:10 to warm-up for the 9:00 service.
Handbell Choirs – Adult and Youth
Handbells are a vibrant, fun, and exciting part of the music ministry at Mountain View! Our musical styles range from classical to contemporary musical arrangements.
Adult handbell rehearsals are Sunday at 4:30 pm. The Youth Handbells rehearse at 5:15 pm right before the Youth Group meets on Sundays. Both groups present regular offerings throughout the year.
At Mountain View, we believe in a broad approach to music with children. Our kids get to sing, play games, clap, move, and play instruments- all while learning about music and most importantly, God. Growth as a musician in church fosters a deep and lasting spiritual connection to God and encourages lifelong Christian musicianship- allowing us to praise God for generations to come. Sunday evenings is when our Crossfire Choir groups meet. Beginning at age three through fifth grade, all children are welcome! A light supper is served at 5:30 and group musical activities begin at 6:00. At 6:30, ages 3-K are dismissed from music for other fun activities, while first through fifth graders continue with music. The Crossfire Choir meets during the school year and in additional to singing, they utilize chimes in their music. Both the Crossfire and the Cherub choir present quarterly offerings through the year.
